About Junior Golf wants you to know the hard truth about this game of achieving a college golf scholarship. As a junior golfer you are probably very good, maybe the best at your high school. Your off a to a great start having a low handicap and you are right up there in the national rankings, well here is a news flash. Unless you are in the top 5%, or elite category, don’t expect coaches to knock on your door. If you want to be recruited, especially at NAIA schools or the NJCAA level, you will have to make it happen. You have to contact the golf coaches and let them know whom you are and what you have to offer their golf program. As this series moves on I will elaborate on how to get the coaches attention and what material to present to them.

About Junior Golf the Polo Rankings (AJGA) are critically important in that most of the top invitational tournament in the country will use this ranking system to determine which junior boys and girls will be invited to these high-profile events. The Polo Golf Rankings are a select ranking system that is used to rank the top junior players in the country. These rankings will be used to: 1) round out AJGA Invitational fields; 2) guide the Rolex Junior All-America selection process; and 3) determine Canon Cup teams.
