Dillon Drills ‘Em in Louisiana State Championship
Brooke Dillon wins Louisiana Girls State High School State Championship and she isn’t even in high school. Brooke is only 11 years old and just a 5th grader. Winning at her age is an incredible feat especially when she shoots 72+71=143 or 1 under par for a 7 shot victory. Yes, I did say a 7 shot victory. Golfweek’s Player of the Week: Michael Zierdt
Michael Zierdt, of Huntsville, Ala., shot 2-under 142 (74-68) at Hampton Cove in Owens Crossroads, Ala., to win the SJGT’s Hampton Cove Junior Classic by four shots. Zierdt, 18, had three birdies in the final four holes in Round 2 to secure his first SJGT win of the season. Zierdt has signed with Army for the fall. AJGA founder, Mike Bentley leaves his Legacy
The world of Junior Golf has lost a legend in Mike Bentley, died April 8 at the age of 59.
