Do Therapeutic Golf Bracelets Like The TRION: Z Really Work?
I dislocated my wrist back in 1999 playing in a tournament in Las Vegas, NV. I had a ball just a little above my feet on the right side of a fairway bunker. The ball was right up against the lip and was more out of the bunker than in it. I felt that I could pull of a punch shot and still get the ball on the green, which I did. Unfortunately the lip caught the toe of my club and yanked my right wrist out of place. I was fortunate enough to find a wrist brace that night so I was able to finish the tournament. However, the wrist bothered me for years and that was with me wearing the brace every round I played. Then along came the TRION:Z bracelet and I have not had to wear the brace since. It has also helped with my back and my knees. If I do feel any pain after a round I just add the necklace version of the TRION:Z and by the next day the pain is gone.
I was introduced to ion bracelets and magnet bracelets by sales reps out at the PGA Tour Show some years ago. They were handing them out like candy to those of us at the convention. All of their claims sounded good to me and, with my aches and pains, I took a few to try and have been wearing them ever since.
I am presently wearing a Titan Rules Minus Ion Bracelet on each wrist. The Titan bracelet is a rubbery type material. The package information states: “Titanium among other metals, has excellent properties that can be beneficial to your health and well being. This innovative product makes use of the negative charge and ionization characteristics of titanium. Once you wear one (or more) of the Minus Ion Wrists Bands, the semi-permanent power of the negative ions and the ionization of the titanium regulate the ion balance within your body to refresh you inside and out.” The Titan Rules wristbands come in 10 colors, including clear.
I recently was at a golf school helping a friend and I was wearing an ion wristband on each wrist and also had a magnet bracelet on the right wrist. At dinner one night one of the guys asked me about them, as to what they were and do they help. I told him they were ion bands. I went on to add that it might be truly physiological help or just voodoo. Whatever it may be I am sure that I feel physically better with less ache and pain and that also affects my mental well-being. In any case what the mind believes is what we feel. And I feel better wearing them, plain and simple.
Another popular wristband is the Trion: Z, whose slogan is “ionic gear for the active lifestyles.” Like the Titan Rules band, the Trion: Z is really popular on the PGA Tour. Many of the equipment trailers have them for the taking for their Tour staffers. The TRION:Z band is made up on two cloth bands looking like thick shoe laces held together with a plastic clasp on one side and a bigger one, about the size of a dime. Each of the laces is usually a different color (I have four different colored ones) so you can have numerous bracelets with different colors and co-ordinate them with your outfit of the day. Trion: Z got innovative with their marketing in that the dime sized magnet clasp can have logos on them. I have one with the logo of my college team.
The package states: Revitalize your body from daily stress and physical activity with Trion: Z magnetic minus–ion products. Trion: Z combines the natural power of magnets and the energizing effects of minus-ions to balance the body’s magnetic and electrical fields. Excessive positive- ion levels are associated with fatigue, lack of concentration and body aches. This balancing effect, hormesis, allows your body to adapt to today’s environment overpowered by electronics and stress. Trion: Z uses magnets in a patented Alternating North-South Polarity Orientation (ANSPO), which increases the magnet’s power to penetrate deeper into muscle and tissue fibers providing maximum benefit. The Trion: Z bands use Stayers, a unique fabric woven with minus-ion producing minerals to regenerate your body.
This fabric can be hand washed or be wet and still maintain its minus-ion properties for those active in water sports. These packages have some real interesting information and claims about the help these two wrists bands can provide your body. The key and main point here is there is the possibility (and many Tour players wear them and swear by them (as I do) that you will get relief from an inexpensive product you just wear on your wrists. Trion: Z also has bands for your ankles and one for your neck, which I also wear. Most importantly, you are not putting any drugs into your body. You are just wearing ion wristbands.
The copper bracelet is putting copper into your body which, as a physiological fact, we need copper and too little is not good. The leader in stylish copper and magnetic bracelets is SABONA. They have also come out with a line of single string cloth bracelets (that look like the same cloth of the Trion: Z) called the “Athletic Bracelets.” They also have al line called the “PGA Tour Magnetic Bracelets” sporting the PGA Tour logo. SABONA bracelets can get quite stylish and expensive with their tungsten carbide model, and especially with their .925 Sterling /magnetic line.
All in all, you can wear these somewhat stylish and inexpensive Titan Rules and TRION:Z bracelets or go for the real stylish, more expensive jewelry look of the SABONA bracelets. Either way you get your relief externally rather than internally, ingesting medicine. These bracelets provide another option to pain relief and the stylish choice is yours.
